How to get to Ons Island
Ons Island is an archipelago belonging to the municipality of Bueu. In the Galician Rías Bajas, a coastal area of high tourist interest for its gastronomy, its beaches, its landscapes, its people and countless little things that make Bueu and its surroundings an area of authentic beauty.
Where to take the boat to the island of Ons?
The only way to get to the island of Ons is by sea, using the passenger transport boats that operate from Bueu, Portonovo, Sanxenxo and occasionally from Vigo.
How long does the boat take to get to Ons?
The boat takes approximately 40 minutes from Bueu, Portonovo and Sanxenxo, the boat from Vigo takes approximately 1 hour and a half.
Authorization to travel to Ons
Due to the fact that it is a protected natural area, access to the park is currently limited to 1,300 daily visitors in high season, it is mandatory to request prior authorization and it is advisable to reserve both tickets and camping in advance.
Reservation of Tickets to go to the Island of Ons
Once you obtain the authorization, you will have a period of 2 hours to make the RESERVATION OF THE TICKET, if you do not do so, the authorization will be cancelled.
Remember that you can only book the ticket 90 days in advance, so you will not see some available dates.
If you go by private boat, it is necessary to request an anchoring permit. You also have to request permission to dive in its waters.

Currently there are regular passenger departures from Easter and Summer, as long as the weather allows it. Departures take place from the maritime stations of Bueu, Sanxenxo, Portonovo and punctually from Vigo.
